1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website stores in the browser to remember information between pages and visits. This policy uses the term broadly, to include the browser's local storage and the requests the site sends to third-party services to measure its use.
First-party cookies are set by the site; third-party cookies, by the external services the site includes. Session cookies are deleted when the browser is closed, and persistent cookies last for the period shown in the table.
2. Principles
- Statistics and metrics cookies are enabled only with consent. Before the visitor decides, they are not loaded.
- The audience measurement of the provider that delivers and protects the site uses no cookies or local storage and does not identify the visitor.
- The data they collect is shared with their providers solely for statistical and metrics purposes, never to make a profit from it.
- The site shows no third-party advertising. The only Google Ads cookie measures the results of TevDev's campaigns and is not used to personalize ads.
- Closing the notice without choosing counts as rejecting.
3. Categories
- Necessary and preferences (always active): they allow the site to work and remember the language, theme and cookie choice. They do not require consent because without them the site cannot provide the service requested.
- Statistics and metrics (consent required): Google Analytics counts visits; Google Ads measures conversions from TevDev's campaigns; the attribution cookie stores the campaign of origin to link it to a quote request; and the blog read count tells the platform that provides the articles how many times each one is read.
4. Cookie details
The table on this page shows the name, purpose and duration of each cookie. In addition:
- _gcl_aw (90 days) is created only when the visit comes from a TevDev ad on Google, to attribute the conversion.
- tv-theme is not a cookie; it is kept in the browser's local storage until it is cleared.
- tv_admin exists only in the browsers of TevDev team members signed in to the internal panel.
- The blog read count does not use cookies; it is a request to the blog platform for each article read and is sent only with consent.
5. Legal basis and consent
Necessary and preference cookies are based on providing the service the visitor requests by using the site and on the legal authorization for the operation of the system. Statistics and metrics cookies are based on express consent, given in the cookie notice and revocable at any time, in accordance with Law No. 19,628 and, from December 1, 2026, Law No. 21,719.
When consent is given, the site loads the Google tools configured without Google signals or ad personalization. When the notice is rejected or closed, none of them are loaded.
6. How to change or withdraw consent
The choice can be changed at any time from “Cookie preferences” at the bottom of every page, or with the button on this page. Rejecting after having accepted disables the statistics and metrics tools and deletes their cookies and the attribution cookie from the browser.
The browser settings also allow cookies to be viewed, blocked or deleted. If necessary cookies are blocked, some site features may stop working. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it and free of charge.
7. Third parties
- Google LLC (United States), with consent: Google Analytics 4 (_ga and _ga_XKPR1J303W) and Google Ads conversion measurement (_gcl_au and _gcl_aw). According to Google, Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses.
- Blog platform, with consent: receives the read count of each article.
These third parties process the information under their own privacy policies.
8. International transfers
Google processes the data from these cookies mainly in the United States, with safeguards such as standard contractual clauses and the Data Privacy Framework. TevDev is established in Chile and directs its services mainly to Chile and Latin America; for EEA visitors it applies GDPR standards where relevant, and the privacy channel is contacto@tevdev.cl.
9. Do Not Track signals
There is no uniform standard for interpreting the browser “Do Not Track” signal, so the site does not respond to it specifically. Effective control comes from consent, because the statistics and metrics tools remain disabled until the visitor accepts.
10. Changes to this policy
TevDev updates this policy when the cookies, the providers or the applicable regulations change. Each version shows its update date at the top, and relevant changes are announced on the site.
